Our Prayer
Dear Lord, please keep the family of those who has died close to your light Lord. Please lead them away from the darkness of sorrow and into your loving embrace. May they feel your grace flow through them and fill their hearts with love and acceptance. We ask this in your name with all the glory and honor to you. Amen.
People need to realize that traffic laws especially ones that affect pedestrians are there for a reason. It is so that vehicles do not injure pedestrians, which may not be able to stop in time. It helps to keep drivers safe by halting pedestrians who may never see the vehicle coming. By law, it is both the jobs of the pedestrian and the driver to make sure that they are observing proper safety protocol. If one or both fail to do so, it leads to a tragedy such as this one. Though the woman was at fault for crossing illegally be it from just a rush or other circumstances her family should still seek legal counsel. Doing so would allow them to see all of their options laid out, and allow them to take the best course of action moving forward. Although she walked across a busy roadway, if the driver had slowed or paid closer attention, the crash might not have happened.
