Man Kills Mother, Injures 10-Year-Old Son, Flees Crash - Garland, TX
On the afternoon of September 7, 2021, a 28-year-old mother and her 10-year-old son in a Toyota were involved in a crash near Shiloh Road and Northwest Highway in Garland. The collision unfortunatey killed the mother and critically injured her son. A man driving a Honda Accord was stopped for a traffic violation and had evidence of narcotics in the vehicle which caused him to flee the scene and a high speed chase ensued. The chase turned deadly when the Accord ran a red light and struck the Toyota who was traveling into the intersection with a green light.
