Pedestrian Killed Trying To Cross MLK Freeway in Fort Worth
FORT WORTH -- Multiple vehicles struck a woman trying to cross the Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway, the victim dying early the morning of June 11, according to Fort Worth police.
The woman, who was not identified by police, was struck by one vehicle near Miller Avenue at around 2:30 a.m., a Star-Telegram article said. She was then also hit repeatedly by other autos on the highway, perhaps as many as five, police said.
The driver of the original vehicle involved remained on the scene, police said.
This marks at least the fourth local fatal pedestrian accident in less than a week in the DFW area.
